Ageing is a well-established risk factor for the onset of chronic conditions<\/span><span class=\"s5\">,<\/span><span class=\"s5\"> including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia.<\/span><em><span class=\"s6\">2<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s5\">Musculoskeletal conditions are also a leading cause of ill health, with<\/span><span class=\"s5\"> an estimated <\/span><span class=\"s5\">63% of UK adults aged between 75 and 84 living with a musculoskeletal condition<\/span><span class=\"s5\"> &#8211;<\/span><span class=\"s5\">the highest prevalence rate across all age groups.<\/span><em><span class=\"s6\">3<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s5\">Experts highlight that poor nutrition and physical inactivity are significant risk factors for chronic conditions, including obesity.<\/span><em><span class=\"s6\">4<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s5\"> Conversely, adopting healthy lifestyle habits can <\/span><span class=\"s5\">help <\/span><span class=\"s5\">prevent, delay or alleviate many of these conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s5\">To ensure that any additional years are lived joyfully,<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">it has never been more important to take responsibility for our health, prioritising internal well-being<\/span><span class=\"s5\">.
